Metered models use reserve-then-settle: a reserve is held when the task starts and the final charge settles to the provider’s reported usage plus a 1.5x margin — capped, never above the reserve. The current fixed-price table always lives in llms.txt.

You prepay for API credits — 1 credit is one US cent. Hero models have fixed per-call prices (shown before you call), and every other supported model is metered: a reserve is held when the task starts, and the final charge settles to the provider's reported usage plus a 1.5x margin, rounded up to whole credits and never above the reserve. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum.
A failed task shows status "failed" with the error. The refund lands on your API credit balance when you poll that task: a fixed-price task is refunded in full, and a metered task keeps only usage the provider reports (normally none for a failure). The task's creditsCharged field keeps showing the original charge; check GET /api/v1/proxy/balance to see the refund.
Sixty requests per minute per key, the same for every plan. Generation calls are also limited to 4 submits per key every 10 seconds. Exceeding a limit returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header. Polling counts, so poll on a shared interval rather than one timer per task.

No. The generation endpoints bill from your prepaid API credit balance. A StageSnap plan covers the app; the API is its own pay-as-you-go lane, so you can build on it with just an account and a credit pack.
The models StageSnap has added to its catalog — frontier image generation and editing, image-to-video, and upscalers — through the same endpoint and the same key. GET /api/v1/proxy/models returns the live list; a model that is not on it returns 404. Music and talking-avatar models are not available. The llms.txt reference lists the current fixed-price and metered tables.
